This amazing opportunity is ideally for someone who has experience or background within Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, Mechanics, Technology, Design, Manufacturing, IT or similar, but has just the educational qualifications and little or no sales experience, who wants to develop solutions selling and relationship building skills.

Key Features of the Role:
In this Technical Sales Advisor role you will use your technical knowledge to assist the current sales team and a variety of ways, as a supportive function and as a sales tool, as part of your development plan.
Undertake research to define suitable corporate target contacts and participate in the achievement of sales targets, and proactively research and develop an appropriate knowledge of a customer’s business and their requirements.
Attend exhibitions aimed at relevant sectors to introduce the Companies products and services and make appointments for face to face meetings for the Field Sales representatives at these events or through telephone calls to prospect companies.
Build long lasting relationships to maintain and develop the accounts you manage and support.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally applicants will have a relevant First or 2:1 degree or another Higher Education qualification in relevant subjects such as Business Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, electronics, Mechanics, Technology, Design, Manufacturing, IT or similar.
Little or no proven sales experience, as all these skills will be developed and trained, but if you have basic solution selling or telephone-based sales experience then that is beneficial.
Ideally the Company is looking for someone to become an influential communicator who is able to articulate value added through solutions, features and benefits, with external and internal stakeholders, so an out-going attitude and personable character is ideally suited.
Emotionally robust to handle and overcome challenges, learning failures, potential deadlines and targets, as well as handling multiple priorities in a busy sales team.
Experience with CRM database management and MS Office knowledge would be essential.

What’s on Offer?
A basic salary ranging from £18,000 - £20,000 based on experience, with a staged salary progression based on achievements in your career development plan and on-going training.
You will also receive annual bonus on top of your basic should you help your team achieve its annual targets.
Any targets that you are set will be broken down for the year and you will complete 1-2-1 reviews with the Sales Manager against personal performance indicators and KPI’s.
The Company will support you with a personal development plan for career progression, with the opportunity of moving up the sales team ladder, including basic salary increases up to £25K basic for an Inside Sales position, and then up to £40K basic if you are able to progress to a Business Development Manager position.
The Company will also support you if you want to make any sideways step in the business once you have completed your 12 month training and development program, to R and D, Technical Support, Marketing, Engineering etc.
A 12 – 24 month training and support plan will be put in place to help you achieve your goals and career progression, with dedicated trainers.
Opportunities to attend company Expo’s, client meetings, sales pitches and potential travel.
28 days holiday (20 including 8 public holidays), additional holidays accrued (tenure proportionate), up to a maximum of 10 additional days.
Auto-enrolment into company contributory pension scheme.
Working 37.5 hours per week based on flexi-time Monday to Friday.
