The Company and the Role:
This global supply chain solutions Company is offering an amazing full time permanent Freight Forwarding Administrator opportunity near Eastleigh, working in their newly acquired offices, supporting the team.
The Company is one of the world’s leading procurement, logistics and consultancy business, assisting multinational business and industrial groups with their global supply chain needs for over 70 years.
You will be expected to assist the operation with all of the administration processes and paperwork in relation to commodity procurement, consulting, freight (air, ocean, road, and rail), compliance, packing and event logistics.
The Company works with on a number specialist projects and with a range of private and public organisations, working on the premise “Any size. Anywhere. Safe and secure”.
The Company is looking for the right person who is able to handle volume incoming and outbound mail, bulk mail outs, and other general client and customer requirements both over the phone and potentially face to face, relating to supply chain enquiries and forwarding them to the correct person or dept.

Key Features of the Role:
Network Administrator main duties:
• You will need to have experience and knowledge of handling incoming and outgoing mail, and bulk mail outs.
• You will assist with daily incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
• You will liaise and develop communication with all the Companies offices / agents and Depts.
• You will build and develop relationships with key agents and partners.
• You will ensure all enquires are sent to the correct department for quoting and assist quoting on agency enquiries when required.
• You will input data into the systems database and keep information updated.
• You will assist collating and reporting on all agent activities.
• You will assist with keeping rates and tariffs updated.
• You will complete all stationary orders.
• You will assist in organising business travel and accommodation for organised events and conferences.
• You will ensure that all work is carried out according to company policies and standard operating procedures.

Knowledge and Skills:
As a Freight Forwarding Administrator you will need to have Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, Logistics experience, as the Company want a candidate who can hit the ground running and who has knowledge of the industry.
You must be computer literate with experience of MS Office products, as well as having worked with a client and customer database.
You must have customer service experience and have worked in a telephone-based role previously, as well as confident handling face to face meetings when required.
Passed English and Maths at GCSE level or have suitable alternative qualification.
What’s on Offer?
The role will pay between £20K to £22K as a basic salary depending on experience levels and interview assessment.
Full time permanent hours of 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
