The Company and the Role:
The Company is looking for an experienced Telecoms and IT Business Development Manager who is looking for a business opportunity rather than just a job, seeking to increase sales, marketing and growth. The position is based close to the South Coast and is a full time permanent position.
The Company has been trading since early 2000 and they have built up an established client base working off an excellent client service ethos, as well as offering expertise advice to businesses from SME’s to Multi-Site Corporates on telecommunications and IT solution services.
The Company does not just offer IT Solutions but additional technologies such as leased lines, Wi-Fi installations, CCTV, Microsoft Office 365 installations and management, as well as installation and management of all IT related technologies around business communication requirements.
The Company has always had its core strength in telephony, with in-house IT resources providing information and assistance on any aspect of IT including CCTV, IP Access and security, Anti-Virus and cloud ‘Hosted’ services for both data and voice.
The Company is looking for a Business Development Manager who wants to take advantage of a business opportunity rather than just being an employed worker and who wants to be part of the business.
Experienced in both face to face and telephone based solution sales is key as you will cover Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex and Wiltshire, London as well as some clients in Europe and Worldwide.
Key Features of the Role:
As Business Development Manager, you will be in charge of the business growth plan. With the goal to increase the businesses year on year growth, making it a £M+ company, which is why the Company wants someone who wants to be part of the business and can grow the business, as they will be rewarded for the workload and revenue they bring in.
Using your telephone and face to face solution selling experience you will look to build rapport with existing clients and increase revenue streams.
As well as the most important part of bringing on new client revenue streams, you will work autonomously mostly, updating with the Director on your progress, so working times and days will centre on what you can bring in business wise and how you think you can achieve the best results.
Not only will you head up the new business sales and growth of the business you will also be in charge of the marketing side of the business and making it your own, working off the excellent customer base and utilising the extensive engineering experience within the business.
You will look to create new opportunities here in the UK nationwide as well as potentially in Europe and Worldwide. With the limit on your clients and earnings being those limits you place on yourself.
Making sure that the company’s reputation for excellence and professionalism are always upheld. Bringing new sales staff into the business once you have grown the client base and revenue stream.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Business Development Manager and must have a solutions sales background from ideally telephony and or the IT industry.
You must have your own transport and be willing to travel to see clients or to close deals.
You must have experience of, cold and warm telesales in a B2B sales environment as well as account management.
You will also need to have experience in submitting tenders and quotes and following them through with negotiations if necessary and an ability to close a deal when an opportunity has been presented.
You must be emotionally robust to handle the role and changing requirements / priorities.
Finally, you must have a mind-set that is dedicated to the business rather than just on an individual employee basis, as you will be the figure head for the New Business Sales team.

What’s on Offer?
Basic salary for a Business Development Manager is advertised up to £30,000 with extra business related revenue through commission, bonus and/or company incentives. Your salary could well be more depending on experience and your mentality to become part of the business on a much larger scale rather than just an employee.
Commission paid on new business generated and existing client management accounts and revenue streams.
Flexibility and autonomous working week to allow you to get the job done and to make sales calls, book appointments, see clients and close business opportunities.
Full time permanent contract.
Car mileage allowance, any business expenses paid, laptop and mobile phone.
