Our client are experts in the field of logistics, lifting and associated management services to the communication and commercial market sectors.
Unlike their competitors our client is able to offer a full "end to end" logistical solution for their clients. They can Store, Deploy, Transport and position any complex heavy item into the location of their customer’s choice. They can take care of any Traffic Management or Road Closures in house. This allows them the unique ability to provide the client with a single point of contact throughout the UK, 365 days, 24/7.
They are currently seeking additional Site Managers – CPCS Appointed Persons to work across sites in the Greater London area. The positions are permanent.
The successful candidate will supervise and lead field teams for delivery and installation of equipment on site.
You will undertake field surveys to return prompt information, pictures and drawings for on-site delivery and lifting solutions.
You will be home based and will send and receive electronic instructions and reports.
You will travel daily to sites for UK field services.
Some out of hours and weekend working will be required.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an experienced Site Manager with good crane and lorry loader knowledge (lifting operations).
You must be a certificated CPCS Appointed Person.
You should have experience of managing field teams and be able to provide effective leadership to those who you are managing out in the field.
You must be familiar with health and safety procedures relating to construction and transport and be committed to ensuring health and safety procedures are followed on the projects for which you are responsible.
You should be a relationship builder with good customer facing skills and will need to be able to handle late client changes and instructions.
You will have excellent inter-personal skills and time management skills and able to work with minimal supervision but also as part of a team.
You will be IT / PC literate and should have a clean Full UK Drivers Licence.
Salary will be around £28-30k depending upon experience. In addition, there will be weekend overtime payments. A company van and fuel is supplied along with a mobile phone allowance and there is a £50 lodging allowance when required. Other benefits include 22 days’ holiday plus bank and public holidays and after 12 months’ service sickness benefit and a personal private healthcare package becomes available.
