Job Description

Our client is an award winning pub company operating 7 sites in the South East. They are currently seeking an Assistant Manager for their public house located close to Sevenoaks, Kent. The position is permanent.
This public house has become part of our client’s award winning family pub group and has just reopened after a major refurbishment.
All our client’s food will be prepared on site using the best ingredients, local where possible using carefully sourced suppliers.
Our client is seeking an ambitious and committed Assistant Manager with experience to assist in the running of our client’s latest acquisition in this award-winning pub group with a passion for good food who is ready to continue developing their career in an award-winning Pub Group.
Our client’s business is all about happy customers so they are looking for people who have the personality to lead and motivate the entire Front of House team and to contribute to the overall success of the company by helping to manage all business aspects of the pub effectively. This is especially important as there will be a completely new team when the pub opens.
You will be rewarded with a great salary and tips.
Your role is to assist the General Manager in maintaining good gross profits, hygiene standards, stock rotation and ordering
Everything is prepared in house using fresh ingredients using local suppliers wherever possible.
You will need to thrive in a very busy environment and enjoy working as part of a team.

Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Assistant Manager ideally with experience of working in at a similar level.
Alternatively, as our client is supportive to the ex-military community, our client welcomes applications from candidates at all levels who are either about to leave the Armed Forces or who are ex-military.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect customer experience every time.
You should possess ambition to continually drive the business forward.
You will be an excellent team player and leader who can respectfully communicate to the team.
You should have some financial understanding and of controlling costs and stocks.
You will have good knowledge of hygiene and health and safety.
You should possess a lot of stamina/energy to keep up to speed during occasional hectic spells of business.
You should have a desire to aim for high standards.
You should be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and passionate in your work.
Standard working week is 45 hours working 5 shifts a week.
Basic salary will be up to £16-19K plus, tips which will be worth around £80 per week. Other benefits include a pension scheme, staff loyalty scheme after 3 months and Childcare Vouchers.
