Job Description

Our Client is a family run business with over 50 years’ experience in the motor trade. Based in South Cumbria, they deal in quality New and Used Cars, 4 Wheel Drive and Commercial vehicles.

They have on-site workshop facilities and carryout MOT Testing and work resulting from either the balance of the manufacturers or their own warranty. Due to their continued success they are now seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Mechanic. The role is permanent.
You will be responsible for the service, fault diagnosis and repair of all kinds of vehicles ensuring all work is carried out to our Clients high standards.
You will be required to work on a wide range of cars, commercial and 4 wheel drive vehicles.
You will use diagnostic equipment to determine vehicle mechanical and electronic faults.
You will ensure that all associated paperwork is completed accurately and completely.
You will from time to time communicate directly with customers, on such occasions you will be required to deliver a positive customer experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

You will be an accomplished and time served Vehicle Mechanic/Technician
You will ideally have a recognised motor trade qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.
You will have demonstrable experience of working on cars, four wheel drive and commercial vehicles.
You will ideally have experience of vehicle electronic systems.
You will ideally have experience of using diagnostic equipment.
You will have a full clean driving licence.
You will have the ability to work independently, and also be able to manage a large and diverse team.
You will possess drive and enthusiasm.
You will have good communication and interpersonal skills.
You should have good IT / PC skills
In return for the above our Client is offering a salary of up to £20,800 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
