Why your recruitment agency is missing out if it doesn't have a blog

If you haven’t got one already, then you may be wondering whether your recruitment agency needs a blog.

Is there any real business benefit to it, or is it a big white elephant?

Is now a good time to get one, or have you missed the boat?

What should you put in your blog?

To answer this question, you need to consider the two purposes above. A recruitment agency will generally want to post content that:

a) Shows a human side to their service, setting them apart from the crowd.

b) Helps their users - whether candidates or clients. As well as the obvious, this will assist with SEO.

Also, you need to spend some time thinking about the type of 'voice' you want your agency to have. The beauty of a blog is that it allows you to portray yourself in more or less any way you want to.

Will your style be safe and corporate, or young and fresh? Will you hook your blog up to any forms of social media? If so, what will they be? Instagram works well for some recruiters, but plain old LinkedIn is better for others. It all depends on your sector - and your style.

But the real key to a successful blog is consistency. If you want your readers to keep coming back, then you need to produce excellent content on a regular basis.
