Recruitment International’s April 2017 Blog

The clocks have now gone forward, which means spring (and hopefully the sun) will soon be on its way! There’s also Easter to contend with – if battling mountains of chocolate is considered a challenge. But let’s forget about that for a second and get you all caught up with everything going on here at RI – there are features to get involved with, events to attend and we also want to make sure we’re up to date with everything you’re up to. So, first things first, if you attended our Workforce Conference, which took place on 28th March, then make sure you get in touch – we want to hear all your thoughts about the day.

Our cover stars for this month are The Recruit Venture Group, talking about the merger between Jark and Recruit Ventures. Make sure you have a read here.

It’s not too late to get involved in…

Contact Rebecca or Becky for more details.

We want to share content that’s relevant to you! If we’re not sharing the content you’re after, then why not tell us what you’re looking for? Do you want to see more news? More thought leadership pieces? Or perhaps you want more articles from recruiters themselves? Whatever you’re looking for, make sure you let us know, so we can tailor what we’re sharing to suit YOU.

Got a topic to share that you think our readers will love to hear about? Why not send over a synopsis of your proposed feature to Rebecca or Becky? They’ll be able to let you know if it’s something we can feature in our magazine or online for you.

How else can you get involved?

If you’re not looking to get involved with the magazine, then there are still plenty of other ways you can get involved with us. Make sure you’re sending over all your latest news and features for our website, whether it’s a senior appointment, financial results or a charity initiative, to Rebecca or Becky.

Perhaps you’re more interested in blogging? If that’s the case then we’re the people you should contact – we have an active blog on our website, with new content being uploaded at least three times a week. If you’ve got a blog you’d like to share, contact Becky – she can also help you out if you just need a bit of direction on what to write about.

Also, make sure you’re interacting with us on social media! We’re tweeting (@RecruitmentINTL), on LinkedIn (Recruitment International UK) and are also now on Instagram (recruitment_international). So why not take a look at our social media pages and see what we’re up to?

We’ve also just set up an Australia twitter page, ready for our Australia Awards. Make sure you’re following us (RecIntAustralia)!

Dates for the diary

For more details on any of our upcoming events, contact Teri.

19th April – Corporate Club Event - Technology Threats

Technology is becoming an increasingly important strategic consideration for all companies in the recruitment sector. Historically, however, there has been a lower level of investment and focus on technology in the sector, and so many businesses find themselves underprepared in facing various business risks and opportunities relating to IT. PwC’s technology assurance team will be on hand to cover key IT opportunities and risks in the sector.

Contact Teri or David (david@recruitment-international.co.uk) for more details or to reserve your place.

17th May – Corporate Club event

Contact Teri or David (david@recruitment-international.co.uk) for more details or to reserve your place.

18th May – RI Marketing Mash-up

After the success of the first event, we are delighted to be holding the marketing mash-up again! This event will purely be focused on relaxed conversations around hot topics in marketing. It’s a great way to network with other marketing professionals in and around the recruitment industry while also discussing current technology, challenges, trends and various thoughts and feelings within your organisation. We will discuss industry news and events and will also share as much insight as possible.

2nd November – RI UK Awards 2017

Make sure you get this date in your diary today! Our UK Awards, the most exclusive, prestigious and aspirational awards in the industry, are taking place for the 11th year. It promises to be an even bigger and better event than last year, so you ’re not going to want to miss out! Contact Teri or David for more details and to find out about sponsorship opportunities.

Don’t forget about our job board!

Internal vacancies can still be posted for FREE on our website! Make sure you get in contact with us to make the most of this great opportunity.
