Use of Non-compete clauses in employment contracts
The Government is calling for evidence to gather information on the use of non-compete clauses in employment contracts. There have been suggestions that they can hinder start-ups from hiring the best and brightest talent, the government is asking for views from individuals and employers on whether this type of practice is acting as a barrier to innovation and employment.
The consultation can be accessed here and closes on 19th July. There are a number of stakeholder events in June to enable you to discuss the call for evidence with the policy team. If you would like to participate in these events please contact TEAM Head Office.
