Meridian Receives Best Use of Online Recruitment at Onrec Awards
National recruitment agency, Meridian Business Support, is delighted to have been awarded the Best Use of Online Recruitment by a Recruitment Agency at the prestigious Onrec awards.
Meridian’s submission detailed the launch of their new website back in November 2015, which was specifically candidate-focused in order to address the shortage of skills and talent in the UK jobs market.
Meridian’s website incorporates the latest technologies and software, including the ability to integrate candidate social media profiles to build instant jobseeker profiles, fully cloud-based web development and compatibility without loss of functionality across mobile, tablet and desktop devices. This means job seekers can access their profiles, apply for jobs and change job alert preferences whenever they want to, from wherever they are, given that an estimated 90% of jobseekers are using mobile devices to search for new roles.
On the award win, chief executive at Meridian, Mark Mitchell, says: “Our marketing team has been highly engaged with this project throughout and it’s extremely rewarding to see this forward-thinking approach be recognised by our industry.
Since the launch in November the number of candidates registering for work with Meridian has increased by 400% when compared to our previous website and the number of job alerts sent has increased to 8,000 per month, contributing to improved levels of candidate engagement and our ability to place candidates with our clients for both temporary and permanent vacancies.”
The black-tie awards evening was held on Thursday 10th March at The Grange St Pauls Hotel in London.
