Jobwise MD’s Commitment to Career Development
Leanne Goodwin, newly appointed MD of Jobwise, the north west based recruitment specialist, has just been awarded Corporate Leader of the Year in the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards 2011. (Nov 10 2011) This prestigious award was presented at Manchester’s Midland Hotel in a glittering event sponsored by major local businesses including Barclays Bank, O2, Manchester Evening News and Ernst and Young. Leanne’s award was a result not only of her own rapid career progression, but also her commitment to help others climb the career ladder. Leanne started her career in recruitment as an Administrator. She was quickly promoted to Branch Manager, and joined the Board of Directors of Jobwise in 2005. In May 2010 Leanne became Managing Director. Having climbed the career ladder herself, Leanne’s passion is career development for others. With this is mind, she has launched a new career development programme aimed at training people from the very start of their careers with Jobwise to become the Senior Managers of the future. “I want to offer the same kind of career progression that has enabled me to develop my skills. A career in recruitment is challenging and very rewarding, offering the individual the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills. From customer service and business awareness, to emotional intelligence and rapport building, we work alongside our staff to ensure they get the chance to develop every facet of their abilities. “Our company logo – “Love your Job” – is more than just empty words. We work hard with everyone who comes through our doors – both our own staff and those who come to us looking for work - to make sure we place them in jobs they will love, where they will have the chance to grow within their roles and make a long term contribution to their employers”.
